Given the fact that DMG World Media has announced last week that The Big 5 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is being postponed (planned for November 2020, moved to 12 to 15. September 2021), all our scheduled events in Fall of 2020 are under scrutiny. SIKA收购了埃及现代防水集团
Sika AG of Baar, Switzerland will take over Modern Waterproofing Group, Cairo, Egypt and integrates it into its subsidiary Sika Egypt. The roots of Modern Waterproofing are reaching back to 1953, in 1999 the group was formed and named by Dr. Walid Gamaleldin. The company has specialized on building protection such as bituminous membranes, filaments, thermal insulation materials and waterstops. Modern Waterproofing operates mainly at a strategically well located plant in Badr City, close to Cairo. The company reported sales of 24 mio Euro in 2019. According to Sika, the product portfolio of Modern Waterproofing fits well with their existing activities for Africa and the Middle East and offers the chance for growth especially in Egypt.
